Editorial standards
Global Football Report publishes international football coverage produced by a monitored, source-linked editorial process. This page states exactly how that process works.
Two-source verification
A story is only published when at least two independent outlets, on different domains, have reported it. Reports that exist on a single domain are not published, however widely they circulate on social media.
Where an official body — a federation, league or club — has published the information, that source takes precedence and is listed first.
Status labels
Every story carries a label. CONFIRMED means an official announcement exists. REPORTED means established outlets report it but no official confirmation has been published. RUMOUR means the information is speculative and is presented as such.
A story is never upgraded to CONFIRMED without an official source attached to it.
No fabrication
We do not invent quotes, statistics, transfer fees, contract terms or match events. Nothing is attributed to a person unless the linked sources report it, and statements are reported indirectly with attribution to the outlet that carried them.
Database records — player profiles, career tables and statistics — are only published from documentation supplied by clubs, federations or the player, and the documentation is named on the profile.
Corrections
When an error is identified, the article is corrected and the correction is recorded on the article itself with the date. Substantive corrections are never made silently.

Independence
Coverage is not sold, exchanged or arranged. Player profiles held in the database do not receive preferential news coverage: a player is written about only when independent sources report something about them.

These are the feeds the newsroom monitors. Individual stories always link the specific reports they are based on.
