Crystal Palace are moving closer to completing multiple first-team additions, with reports indicating progress on both a player swap deal with Everton and an incoming transfer from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise. Neither deal has been officially confirmed by the clubs involved.
According to a report by The Guardian, Crystal Palace and Everton have agreed a straight swap deal involving wingers Brennan Johnson and Dwight McNeil. McNeil had previously come close to joining the South London club during the winter transfer window in January.
Swap deal agreed with Everton
The proposed swap between Johnson and McNeil comes six months after a potential move for McNeil collapsed. Details regarding contract terms and financial arrangements for both players have not been disclosed, and official announcements from either club remain pending.
In addition to the agreement with Everton, Crystal Palace are also working to finalize a deal for Anan Khalaili. BBC Sport reports that Palace are poised to sign the 21-year-old midfielder from Belgian outfit Union Saint-Gilloise.
Khalaili set for South London move
The Guardian also reported Khalaili's impending arrival at Selhurst Park, describing the Israel international as a right-back, whereas BBC Sport listed him as a 21-year-old midfielder. Both outlets indicate that negotiations between the clubs are advanced.
With no official statements yet released by Crystal Palace, Everton, or Union Saint-Gilloise, all reported transfers remain subject to formal completion and medical tests.
