Thomas Tuchel faces major squad selection decisions for England ahead of the final international break of the year, with key Nations League fixtures on the horizon. Among the central topics reported by BBC Sport is the decision regarding Cole Palmer and his involvement in the squad.

Palmer's inclusion remains under consideration as competition continues for England's number 10 position. Reports outline a dilemma for Tuchel over whether to select Palmer for the upcoming matches as options in attacking midfield are assessed.

Selection options for Tuchel and England

In addition to the decisions surrounding Palmer, Harry Kane's situation has attracted focus following reports of a new deal at Bayern Munich. Analysis from BBC Sport's Phil McNulty indicates that Kane's new contract in Germany may mark the conclusion of his Premier League career and his pursuit of the league's scoring record, while offering encouragement regarding his ability to lead the national team.

Tuchel must resolve these selection choices as England prepare for their final Nations League fixtures of the year. Official confirmation regarding the finalized squad roster has yet to be issued.

Ireland consider Coleman for upcoming fixtures

In other Nations League developments, Republic of Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson has commented on defender Seamus Coleman ahead of fixtures against Austria and Kosovo. Hallgrimsson stated it was tempting to involve Coleman in a hybrid role, despite the defender not having played since June.
